I had ordered 2 Lorraine Bowen CDs from her site  They arrived today and she sent me an extra CD - a copy of her latest as she liked my email, bless her. We had a nice email exchange about our love of arrangements and harmonies and bossas etc. I put some CDs of mine together to send to her as a prezzy. 
I think filkers would love her albums - they are fun but also have some clever arrangements in with the funny songs and kitch. Had quite a Bowenfest on the hifi over the weekend. Only just getting her song Julie Christie (hear it here ) out of my brain. Her latest album has the backing track from her hit (Crumble Song) and invites new lyrics...or different language versions - thats what i call filking.

A nice songs support gig came in late in the day.

The big mixing day for my songs album - finished around 10pm with something on disc.

Lungs still giving me bad nights (end of cold) so was tired today. Just listened thru to mixes - 4 tracks out of 11 need fixes - not bad - most fixes quite small. Nearly there...
