Sat - last night's ceilidh gig with Govannen Souldrop was a Country & Western themed party and quite an opulent one too - 100 or so guests ALL dressed in fancy dress, the HUGE marquee was very detailed with it;s art - wanted posters etc.  - a Mexican band was playing when we arrived, then there was a bucking bronco and quick draw machines, and roulette and crap tables, free drinks and cocktails all night for all (I was driving) and then us a 4 piece ceilidh band and caller - we did a ceilidh set and a rock n roll set.  Dan brought coboy hats for us all which was funny. Went down well. Got home at 2am.

Sun - took things easy - went to The Donkey to see Mick Ridgeway blues band play and record an album - nice to see pals The Tempests. Dinner with  some friends of Gs in evening.

Busy gigging week this week - 4 gigs - eacha  different genre - ought to get my filk thoughts together too for the convention - I have no new filk songs - just need to pick a set.

Got the new Ferenc Snetberger CD Nomad -pleasant - always a pleasure to hear Arild Andersen ont he bass & electronics.
